We are seeking a passionate and resilient Qualified Teacher to join a specialist SEMH/SEN school supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young people who require a nurturing, structured and inclusive learning environment.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs, while promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.


  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse SEMH/SEN needs
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to promote trust and engagement
  • Manage challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent and positive manner
  • Track and monitor student progress, setting achievable targets
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS is essential)
  • Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH pupils (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners with complex needs
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
