We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting in the Portsmouth area. This rewarding role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, helping them to re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.

You will work within a supportive team focused on creating a structured, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Supporting students with SEMH and additional needs
• Building positive relationships to encourage engagement and progress
• Managing behaviour using consistent and supportive strategies
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs
• Monitoring student progress and wellbeing
• Promoting a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
• Experience working with SEMH or additional needs (desirable)
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to build positive and trusting relationships
• Commitment to supporting vulnerable young people
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
