Are you a compassionate and resilient teacher looking to make a meaningful impact on young people’s lives?
Do you have the ability to build positive relationships and support students with SEMH needs to achieve success?

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting in the Southampton area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs through engaging teaching, strong pastoral support and consistent classroom practice.

You will play an important role in creating a safe, structured and nurturing environment where students can build confidence, resilience and academic progress.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Supporting students with SEMH and additional needs
• Building positive relationships with students and families
• Encouraging confidence, independence and resilience
• Implementing positive behaviour management strategies
• Monitoring student progress and adapting support where needed
• Creating a calm and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with SEMH or SEND students (desirable)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Patient, adaptable and proactive approach
• Ability to engage and motivate students
• Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
