Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Do you have the resilience and dedication to help young people overcome barriers to learning?

We are seeking committed SEMH support staff to join a specialist educational setting in the Waterlooville/Portsmouth area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who require additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them build confidence, resilience and positive relationships.

You will play a key role in creating a structured and nurturing learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting students with SEMH needs in lessons and interventions
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building strong and trusting relationships with students
• Supporting academic progress and engagement in learning
• Working collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff
• Creating a calm, safe and structured environment
• Encouraging confidence, independence and resilience

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable)
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students
• Passion for supporting vulnerable learners
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
