Location:  Droylsden, Manchester

Start date: Monday 6th May

End date: Ongoing (Temporary to Permanent position)

Working hours: Monday-Friday (8.45am-3.15pm)

Pay rate: £83.85 – £90 per day

Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a SEMH Support Assistant to work within a mainstream primary school. The school aims to offer a step-by-step approach in meeting the needs of their pupils.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be working 1:1 with a child with SEMH. 
  • Implementing tailored interventions and strategies to support their social, emotional, and mental well-being, in collaboration with the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and teaching staff.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as required.
  • Working closely with teaching staff, external agencies, and parents/carers to ensure holistic support and continuity of care for students with SEMH needs.
