Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Full Academic Year

We are excited to be recruiting a passionate and adaptable Secondary School Teacher to join one of our welcoming partner schools in Pontypool.

You'll inspire and support learners across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential opportunities in Key Stage 5), delivering engaging lessons that help students build confidence and achieve their full potential.

The school offers a supportive and collaborative environment, making it an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators. You'll also have the chance to get involved in the wider school community through extracurricular activities, events, and parent engagement.

✅ What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals who:

• Have experience-or are eager to gain experience-teaching in a secondary school setting (KS3 and KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
• Can plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all learners
• Demonstrate strong classroom management, behaviour strategies, and confident communication skills
• Show commitment to student progress, wellbeing, and achievement
• Have a genuine passion for education and want to make a positive, lasting impact

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be in the process of completing your teacher training/induction

If you don't yet have all the necessary documentation, Teaching Personnel can support you in obtaining:

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• Level 2 Safeguarding training
• Minimum two recent professional references covering the 24 months
