Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Pathway Mentor to join a specialist SEN school in the Manchester area. This rewarding opportunity involves supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), sensory processing needs, social communication challenges, and associated behavioural needs.

This specialist setting is committed to creating personalised learning journeys for every pupil, providing the support, encouragement, and structure they need to thrive both academically and personally.

The Role

As an SEN Pathway Mentor, you will play a vital role in guiding pupils throughout their educational journey, helping them develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
• Support students in accessing learning and achieving their individual goals.
• Promote communication, confidence, independence, and social development.
• Implement EHCP targets and personalised support strategies.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Monitor progress and celebrate achievements, both big and small.

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
• Experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, mentoring, or support work is desirable.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
