Supply Desk are seeking a confident, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the Rickmansworth area, starting this September.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and thrives in a dynamic secondary school environment. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided and maintain a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will be adaptable, organised, and confident managing classrooms across a range of subjects and year groups. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school by promoting positive behaviour, encouraging student participation, and ensuring learning continues effectively in the teacher's absence.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced Cover Supervisors, or individuals with experience working with young people in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:


• Supervise classes across a range of secondary subjects using pre-set work provided by teaching staff
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies
• Ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout lessons
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student participation and behaviour
• Support the wider school community when required
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:


• Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A confident, flexible, and proactive approach
• A commitment to supporting students' learning and wellbeing
• Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
