Smile Education are currently recruiting for a Secondary Cover Teacher to work across secondary schools in the Telford area.

As a Secondary Cover Teacher, you will support secondary schools by delivering lessons when their usual teachers are unavailable. Lessons are generally pre-planned, allowing you to focus on classroom management, student engagement and maintaining a positive learning environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking regular work with the flexibility to choose the days and placements that suit their availability.
The RoleAs a Secondary Cover Teacher, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary year groups.
- Supervise students and keep them engaged in their learning.
- Maintain a positive, safe and well-managed classroom environment.
- Follow lesson plans and school policies effectively.
- Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
- Support students with their learning and individual needs.
- Provide feedback to the school where required.
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines.
