Location: Basingstoke

Position Overview: Are you an experienced and passionate English teacher ready to take the next step in your career? Our forward-thinking school in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated individual to join us as the Second in Charge of English. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of English in leading and managing the English department, supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative curriculum plans that meet the needs of all students.
  • Provide guidance and support to English teachers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead on specific initiatives or projects within the department, contributing to the overall success and development of English provision.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Significant experience teaching English Language and Literature to secondary school students.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive learning environment and driving improvements in student outcomes.
