The Role:
- Deliver engaging, challenging and well-structured Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive and effective feedback.
- Encourage students to develop their scientific knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Adapt teaching approaches and resources to support individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and support the school's values and expectations.
The Ideal Candidate:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A confident and engaging teaching style with the ability to inspire students of varying abilities.
- The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- A commitment to supporting students' academic progress and personal development.
- A reliable, flexible and professional approach to teaching.
