Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of highly regarded secondary schools across Bournemouth and the surrounding areas who are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring Science Teachers to join their teams from September 2026.

These opportunities would suit an experienced Science Teacher looking for a new challenge, as well as an ECT looking to begin their teaching career within a supportive secondary school environment.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and understanding.

You will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to a range of abilities, create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and support students in achieving their academic potential.

Depending on your specialism and experience, there may also be opportunities to teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics at GCSE level.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status or be working towards QTS as an ECT
• Have strong subject knowledge across Science
• Have experience teaching, or be confident teaching, KS3 and KS4
• Be able to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be committed to supporting students of all abilities
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about education
• Work effectively as part of a wider department and school community
