Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an experienced and resilient Science Teacher to work within a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) setting. This is a temporary agency role teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science, supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional support to access learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people facing barriers to education.

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
  • Manage challenging behaviour effectively using a consistent and proactive approach.
  • Build strong professional relationships with students, staff, and external agencies.
  • Support students with SEMH needs, helping them to develop both academically and personally.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress monitoring.
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Has experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
  • Has previous experience working within SEMH, alternative provision, PRU, or specialist settings.
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills and confidence working with students who present behavioural challenges.
  • Is adaptable, patient, and committed to supporting vulnerable learners.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
