We are recruiting on behalf of a large and inclusive secondary academy seeking an outstanding Lead Practitioner in Science to strengthen teaching and learning across the faculty.
Shaping excellent teaching is central to this role. The successful candidate will model high‑quality Science teaching, support colleagues through coaching and professional development, and help drive improvement so that every learner experiences ambitious, inclusive, and effective Science education.
This is a high‑impact leadership role within a collaborative, values‑driven environment, offering the opportunity to influence practice at scale and make a meaningful difference to pupil outcomes.
Applications are welcomed from existing Lead Practitioners, as well as experienced Science teachers ready to work towards Lead Practitioner accreditation, with appropriate support provided.
As Lead Practitioner in Science, you will be a visible model of excellent classroom practice and a key contributor to faculty and whole‑school improvement.
Working closely with subject leaders and senior staff, you will help embed strong pedagogical practice, support curriculum development, and build a culture of reflection, ambition, and continuous professional growth.
