A secondary school in MK8 is seeking an innovative and passionate Science Teacher to inspire the next generation of scientists and critical thinkers.
As a Science Teacher at this school you will:
- Deliver dynamic lessons that bring scientific concepts to life, fostering a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment where curiosity is encouraged.
- Guide students through practical investigations across a range of disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Implement diverse teaching methods that support students in mastering scientific theory and applying it in real-world contexts.

- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative Science lessons.
- Teach across a range of scientific disciplines, adapting to departmental strengths and student needs.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and attainment.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating laboratory/classroom environment.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
- Support students' personal development, including potential Form Tutor responsibilities.
- Encourage participation in extracurricular and enrichment activities.
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science or a related subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge across at least one science discipline.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
- Ability to teach across multiple science disciplines.
- Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Science.
- A track record of raising student attainment.
- Experience contributing to extracurricular or enrichment programmes.
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about Science education.
- Able to inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
