Role: SEN Science Teacher
Area: Torton, Kidderminster
Salary: Competitive, Dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2024
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Age: Secondary

Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality science lessons that cater to the needs of SEN students across KS3 and KS4.
*Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and inspire students, adapting to individual learning needs.
*Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
*Contribute to the creation of individual education plans (IEPs) and participate in review meetings.
*Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to achieve their full potential.
*Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the wellbeing and progress of students.
*Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong academic background in Science.
*Proven experience in teaching science to KS3 and KS4 students, with a specific focus on SEN education.
*A thorough understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and experience in creating and implementing IEPs.
*Exceptional classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
*A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt teaching methods to support a variety of learning needs.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
*A proactive, innovative, and empathetic approach to teaching.
*A current DBS check or the willingness to undergo one.
