Seeking a Science Teacher, September or sooner Start! 

 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a Secondary School in Romford. The school would be offering a September start but open to starting sooner for the right person. This is a full-time position that will be offering an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate our students in the wonders of science.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons to students of varying ages and abilities, covering a range of scientific disciplines such as biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods, hands-on experiments, and technology to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry among students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore concepts, and collaborate with their peers.
  • Assess student understanding and progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the science curriculum, integrating real-world applications and interdisciplinary connections.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance, adhering to school policies and procedures.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and guardians through effective communication and involvement in school activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Previous experience teaching science or related subjects, preferably at the secondary level.
  • Passion for science education and a commitment to inspiring curiosity and lifelong learning in students.
  • Strong knowledge of scientific concepts, laboratory procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Dedication to professional growth and development.
