Science SEND Tutor - Hillingdon Suitable to NQT

Quantum Scholars is currently recruiting experienced Science SEND tutors to provide 1:1, in-person tuition for primary and secondary-aged pupils receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) provision across Hillingdon.

We are receiving consistent referrals from the council for Science tuition throughout the week, typically across five days, with around 2-3 hours of tuition per day. We're looking for tutors who are available Monday to Friday and can commit to delivering 2-3 hours of Science tuition daily.

As a trusted provider within Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, we support pupils who are not currently in mainstream education. Many of the students we work with have additional needs, including SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work closely with individual pupils, delivering tailored Science sessions that build confidence, develop subject knowledge, and support their transition back into education. Tuition sessions typically take place in the pupil's home or in a suitable community setting, with tutors responsible for planning and delivering lessons that meet each learner's specific needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK - no sponsorship available
• Experience delivering Science tuition
• Ability to travel to Hillingdon for in-person sessions
