A highly regarded secondary school in Lambeth, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science ECT to join their permanent staff from September 2024. The school is committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Science curriculum and best practices in teaching.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or anticipated QTS by September 2024.
  • Relevant degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
  • Experience in a classroom setting, including teaching placements.
