Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work full-time within a specialist SEN school in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with children or adults with additional needs, or for an individual looking to develop a career in education and special educational needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support in their learning and development. You will play a vital role in helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting with classroom activities and learning programmes
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • Supporting pupils with communication, social and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Patient, caring and resilient
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Confident working as part of a team
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Experience in education, care, support work, youth work or similar settings is desirable but not essential
  • Competitive daily rate of £92.63 per day
