Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Religious Education Teacher to join our team in York. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Religious Education to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to explore and discuss religious concepts and beliefs.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to promote the importance of religious education within the curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for promoting understanding and tolerance of different religious beliefs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
  • More than 3 days availability per week.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
