Academics are currently recruiting dedicated Reception Teaching Assistants to work on a temporary, ongoing basis in welcoming primary schools throughout Doncaster. Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing
Pay: £92.56 - £100 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)

About the Role

As a Reception Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will support children within a Reception classroom, helping them to settle into school life and develop essential early learning skills.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework, supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development. This role may involve whole-class support, small group interventions, and one-to-one assistance where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within a Reception classroom
• Assist with the delivery of EYFS-based activities and play-based learning
• Promote children's communication, social, and emotional development
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
• Help to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children's personal care needs where required
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and wider school staff
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Level 3 CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent childcare/teaching assistant qualification (essential)
• Experience working within an EYFS or Reception setting
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Patient, caring, and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
