Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs? Are you local to Penarth or willing to commute?

Teaching Personnel are looking for a part-time teacher to join their team of exceptional educators at one of Wales’s largest specialist schools, located just 5 miles outside of Cardiff. The schools environment is positive, warm and welcoming and the educators there are having a big impact on the lives of the pupils that attend, making this a rewarding and enjoyable opportunity for any teacher.

The successful candidate will be teaching several classes throughout the school, with class sizes ranging between 5 to 8 pupils aged 3-19 years old who have a range of SEN, therefore the ability to adapt to change is a fundamental skill for this role.

Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and carers to support the holistic development of each student.
  • Lead by example, embodying the schools ethos in your day to day teaching.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.

 

Applicants must:

  • Have an enhanced DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Have a qualification with QTS (Or UK equivalent)
  • Be able to commute to Penarth or relocate.
  • Have completed safeguarding training or be willing to complete.
  • Provide 2 recent references.
