Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Qualified Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming and nurturing Flying Start setting in the Upper Killay area. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to become part of a passionate Early Years team, supporting children during the most important stage of their development.

This long-term role offers the opportunity to become a valued member of the setting, with the potential to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.

This well-established Flying Start setting is dedicated to giving every child the very best start in life. The team provides a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to learn through play, develop confidence, and build strong foundations for their future learning.

The setting is known for its caring ethos, child-centred approach, and supportive staff team, where collaboration and professional development are genuinely valued. Every day brings exciting opportunities to help children explore, create, communicate, and thrive.

As a Qualified Nursery Assistant, you will:

✨ Support children's learning through play and engaging Early Years activities.
❤️ Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and their families.
Encourage communication, creativity, independence, and social development.
Observe children's progress and support their individual learning journeys.
Assist with daily routines, mealtimes, and personal care where required.
Work closely with colleagues to provide the highest standard of Early Years education and care.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognised Early Years qualification, such as:

Level 3 Children, Care, Play and Learning (CCPLD)
Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education
Or another full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification accepted for childcare settings in Wales.

You should also have:

✔️ A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
✔️ Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
✔️ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✔️ An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
