Are you a calm, resilient and compassionate individual who is committed to helping young people overcome barriers to learning? Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Oldham.
This specialist setting works with children and young people who are currently unable to access mainstream education, often due to social, emotional, behavioural, or additional learning needs. The provision offers pupils a fresh start, a nurturing learning environment, and personalised pathways that help them reconnect with education and build essential life skills.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant in this PRU, you will play a key part in providing a safe, structured and positive learning environment for pupils aged 5–16. Many of the pupils may display challenging behaviours, have communication difficulties, or require support with emotional regulation. Your role will involve building trusting relationships, boosting confidence and motivation, and helping each learner achieve their potential.
You will work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies to ensure that every pupil receives tailored support that meets their academic, social and emotional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
