Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in the Salford area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference to young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Students you will support may present with SEMH needs such as emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, trauma-related behaviours, low self-esteem, attachment challenges, and challenging or disengaged behaviour.
What is a PRU?
A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) is a specialist educational setting designed to support children and young people who are unable to attend mainstream school due to behavioural, emotional, or mental health needs. PRUs provide smaller class sizes, higher levels of support, and a personalised approach, helping students re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
