We are looking for tutors to work proactively with young people who have difficult beginning to the education and in need of additional support. These young people are out of education, and this can be for various reasons such as:

  • New arrivals to the area
  • Recently became a LAC
  • A recent diagnosis of SEN that requires specialist provision

Your role as a tutor would be to create tailored program of tuition is delivered to pupils on an either 1:1 or small group basis. There is a high need for tutors who are able to support those who are Primary aged where work would be centred around Literacy, Numeracy and Phonics. These young people are looking for a minimum of 10 hours of tuition a week.

The tuition would likely take place in the young persons home or an agreed public venue such as a library.

The ideal tutor would have:

  • A Teaching Qualification/ tutoring Experience
  • Experience of working one to one with Primary Aged pupils
  • Flexibility and Adaptability
  • A calm and patient personality

These young people are located in the Nottinghamshire area which has an excellent public transport system and road travel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
