Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

Whether you have previous school experience or transferable skills from care, support work, coaching, youth work, or childcare, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them achieve their full potential in the classroom.

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • Supporting children with additional learning or SEN needs
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • A positive, patient, and adaptable attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a school team
