Are you a passionate and adaptable Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting new opportunity?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Sunderland to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a varied and rewarding full-time role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across all Key Stages and thrives in a dynamic school environment. You will play a key role in supporting pupils throughout the school, delivering targeted intervention sessions and helping children achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Work flexibly across all Key Stages within the primary school.
  • Deliver small group interventions in:
    • Phonics
    • English
    • Maths
    • Reading
  • Support class teachers in raising attainment and promoting pupil progress.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Adapt your approach to meet the needs of learners across different age groups and abilities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has previous experience supporting children in a primary school setting.
  • Has confidence delivering interventions in phonics, English, maths and reading.
  • Is flexible, proactive and happy to work across different year groups.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to helping children reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
