Position Overview: As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will assist in creating a stimulating and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners while gaining valuable experience in the field of education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, activities, and learning materials.
  • Support students with special educational needs or disabilities, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Help to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff members to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in dealing with challenging situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the classroom.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
