Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the Vale of Glamorgan. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator who enjoys creating positive learning experiences and helping pupils achieve their potential.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: £172.98 per day

About the Role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that engage, challenge and inspire pupils. You will create a classroom environment where learners feel supported, valued and encouraged to succeed.

The successful candidate will work alongside teaching assistants, school leaders and other members of staff to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support to progress academically and personally. You will be expected to adapt your teaching to accommodate different abilities and learning styles, including pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

This role would suit a teacher who is confident in the classroom, passionate about education and committed to making a positive difference to the pupils they work with.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging and appropriately challenging lessons.
  • Follow the relevant curriculum and ensure learning objectives are clearly communicated.
  • Adapt and differentiate teaching to support pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
  • Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment.
  • Promote good behaviour, respect and positive attitudes towards learning.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, using this information to support future teaching.
  • Provide additional support and intervention where pupils require it.
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
  • Support pupils' wider personal, social and emotional development.
  • Work effectively with teaching assistants and other school staff.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in school activities where appropriate.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine commitment to pupil progress, achievement and wellbeing.
  • The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Reliability, professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Availability for a full-time, long-term position.

Essential Requirements

Candidates will need to have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or a willingness to complete the registration process.
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
