Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher looking to make a positive impact during an important stage of pupils’ primary education? Supply Desk is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in Harrow seeking a passionate and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their thriving team.

In this role, you will teach a Year 2 class, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that encourage curiosity, build confidence, and support pupils in reaching their full potential. You will play a key role in developing pupils’ core skills across the curriculum, while fostering a positive attitude towards learning and helping them become increasingly independent learners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel supported, valued, and motivated to succeed. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure every child receives the guidance and encouragement they need to make strong progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.

Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing effective feedback and targeted support where required.

Develop pupils’ literacy, numeracy, reading, writing, and problem-solving skills.

Encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence through engaging learning experiences.

Differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance pupil outcomes.

Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.

Requirements:

A degree alongside Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2, is desirable.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate young learners.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A genuine passion for primary education and helping children achieve their full potential.
