Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford from September.

Working as part of a collaborative and experienced Key Stage 2 team, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum, assess and monitor pupil progress, and develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. The school is looking for a teacher who is committed to promoting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development while maintaining high expectations for every learner.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Year 3 National Curriculum.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that supports every child's learning and development.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using assessment effectively to inform future planning and teaching.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities and school events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching within a UK primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2 or Year 3.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Has a strong understanding of the Year 3 curriculum and the transition from Key Stage 1 into Key Stage 2.
  • Is passionate about providing an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Promotes inclusive teaching practices and supports the individual needs of every child.
  • Has a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
