Are you a Primary School qualified Teacher, looking for work in either EYFS, KS1 or KS2? Teaching Personnel are urgently need teachers to provide cover in their chosen Key Stage, or a comination of two (such as Early Years and Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2) at schools in the Selby area.

We work in partnership with many schools who look to us for day to day cover, longer term placements and even permanent roles! We can provide you with the opportunity to work at the schools in your local area with a view to being put forward for permanent openings as you wish!

Working hours

(Minimum 8.30am – 3.30pm) Term time only

Extra hours may be required for staff meetings, inspections and parent consultations

Flexible between Part-Time / Full-Time

The Role 

For those looking for a Full-Time role, we will put you forward for roles we are currently looking at, or actively seek out opportunities that match your preferences. We can provide a number of temporary opportunities in the meantime to provide familiarity with different settings or give the opportunity for you to showcase your capabilities at schools you would like to be a permanent member at!

If you require flexibility,you will need to have recent and relevant experience in teaching across the EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 curriculum, including a sound knowledge of current learning schemes in the Primary sector. You will have chance to manage your availability around your own commitments, choosing which contracts you wish to undertake. You will need to demonstrate high standards of behaviour management. Ideally you will be able to take 2-3 days per week, but those who wish to work more will have the opportunity to travel to pick up additional work. We have Primary Schools we work alongside in surrounding the areas, such as York, Escrick and Goole amongst other rural areas in between. As such, having your own transport is preferred, though not expected provided you can deliver on assurances. 

You will be required to:

  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning to pupils
  • Inspire children with enthusiasm and a love of learning
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the requirements of the national curriculum
  • Utilise a range of strategies for teaching and maintaining classroom behaviour in accordance with the school policy
  • Ensure that work is marked regularly, and in line with school policy
  • Supervise the work of any support staff, including teaching assistants, who are assigned to work within the class
  • Be punctual and set a good example to the children
  • Implement the aims, policies and stated ethos of the school
  • Work as part of a professional team

Salary

The rate of pay will depend on experience, but will range between £120 and £190 per day. Term time only.

Qualifications

All applicants must hold UK QTS to be considered for this role. Applications from Teachers with all levels of experience, including Early Career Teachers are welcome.
