Job role: Primary Teacher – Year 4

Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday

Pay: Minimum £157.66

Start: 22nd April 2024

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to cover a temporary position in a Year 4 class at a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Cardiff. The role will start 22nd April 2024 until the end of the academic year, with the potential for continuation in September.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons that meet the needs of all pupils
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with the Teaching Assistant to support pupil learning
  • Communicating effectively with parents and colleagues
  • Collaborating with the school's senior leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the class

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils. Previous experience working in Key stage 2 is desirable but not essential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting
  • Understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to promoting the well-being and development of all pupils
  • Willingness to undertake any necessary training or professional development
  • Current enhanced DBS check (or willing to apply for one)
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a Teacher
  • Provide 24 months of references
