Job Description: We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Primary Supply Teachers to join our team. As a supply teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of primary schools across Somerset, covering short-term absences, maternity leaves, and other temporary vacancies. This flexible role allows you to gain valuable experience, expand your skillset, and make a positive impact on the lives of students in different settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences across a range of primary year groups and subjects.
  • Follow school policies and procedures to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings and establish positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Use effective behavior management strategies to promote a positive classroom environment.
  • Provide feedback and support to students to maximize their learning potential during your placement.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including lesson planning and reporting, in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a primary school teacher, either in a permanent or supply capacity.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments and cover various year groups and subjects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one) and suitable references.
