Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Warrington)

Are you an energetic and motivated individual with a passion for sport and working with children? We are seeking a Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Warrington, supporting both physical education and classroom learning.

This varied role will see you delivering engaging sports sessions, promoting teamwork and healthy lifestyles, as well as supporting pupils across the school day. You will work closely with class teachers to help pupils stay focused, active, and confident in their learning.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver support in PE sessions across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Support pupils within the classroom to stay engaged and on task
  • Encourage positive behaviour and teamwork through sport
  • Assist with playground activities and extracurricular clubs
  • Provide targeted support to pupils who may need additional encouragement

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience coaching sports or working with children
  • Be enthusiastic, proactive, and confident leading activities
  • Be able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
