Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS2 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school. This is an excellent opportunity to work with pupils who require tailored support to help them achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

SEN Teacher - Full Time - Immediate Start / January Start

Location: Burnley
Salary: Dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term
Start Date: Monday 2nd November or asap

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.
  • Develop and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual learning targets.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress.
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH, and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching children with Special Educational Needs.
  • A strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
  • Experience working with EHCPs and multi-agency teams is desirable.
