Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated, compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Primary Schools across Blackpool, Wyre and the Fylde Coast from after the October half-term break.

We are working with a number of supportive and inclusive schools that require SEN support staff to provide both classroom and 1:1 support for children with a range of additional needs. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to build meaningful relationships with pupils and help them overcome barriers to learning. There are long-term and short-term roles available. 

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting pupils with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC/ASD)
  • ADHD
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs)
  • Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Global Development Delay
  • Sensory Processing Difficulties
  • Emotional Regulation Needs
  • Challenging Behaviour
  • EHCP Requirements

Responsibilities may include:

✅ Delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions

✅ Supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally

✅ Implementing strategies outlined in EHCPs

✅ Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

✅ Building strong, trusting relationships with children

✅ Working closely with Teachers, SENDCOs and external professionals

✅ Supporting pupils to access learning and reach their full potential

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
