Smile Education is proud to be working in partnership with a number of successful and welcoming primary schools across Hyde, Whitby, Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Yarm, and Tameside. We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Primary HLTAs, SEN Teaching Assistants, and Level 2 & Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant or HLTA, you will:
Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development.
Deliver targeted interventions and small group sessions.
Provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional learning needs and SEN.

Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 where required.
For HLTA roles, lead lessons and cover classes in the teacher's absence.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

A relevant Level 2, Level 3, HLTA, or equivalent qualification.
A minimum of 6 months' UK classroom experience.
Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.

Requirements
Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
Ability to provide two years of references, including at least one relating to experience working with children.
Right to work in the UK.
