Supply Desk are seeking an adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed Primary Cover Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead, starting this September.

This full-time role is ideal for a confident teacher who enjoys variety and thrives in a dynamic school environment. As a Primary Cover Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, ensuring continuity of learning while maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress, and achievement.

The successful candidate will be flexible, organised, and able to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff. You will confidently deliver pre-planned lessons, adapt your teaching to meet the needs of different learners, and create a positive classroom environment where every child feels supported and motivated to succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging pre-planned lessons across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment with effective behaviour management.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.
  • Assess pupil understanding during lessons and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents where appropriate.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
  • Support the wider school community by contributing positively to school life.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching across different year groups.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
  • Passion for supporting children's academic and personal development.
