Are you a qualified teacher looking for flexibility and variety in your career? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teachers to work in schools across Somerset on a flexible basis. As a Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in different educational settings, build relationships with diverse student populations, and make a difference in the lives of young learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and key stages.
  • Providing engaging and interactive teaching that meets the needs of all students.
  • Managing classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting students with their learning and development, including providing one-on-one or small group support when required.
  • Following school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
  • Communicating effectively with school staff, students, and parents to ensure continuity of learning and a supportive school environment.
  • Completing administrative tasks, such as registering attendance and providing feedback on lessons as required.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching in UK schools is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong behavior management skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools and environments.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of teaching and professionalism.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
