Are you an enthusiastic Primary Teacher looking for a new opportunity from September? Teaching Personnel are currently working with a popular primary school in the local area that is seeking a committed teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis.

This opportunity would suit a teacher who enjoys becoming part of a school community and is looking for the consistency of a longer-term placement, while retaining the support and flexibility of working through Teaching Personnel.

About the Opportunity

The successful teacher will take responsibility for the day-to-day teaching of a primary class, planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress and creating an inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential.

You will work closely with colleagues, support staff and the wider school team to ensure pupils receive a high standard of education and pastoral support.

The school has high expectations for both behaviour and learning and is looking for a teacher who can demonstrate a calm, consistent and positive approach.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons
  • Differentiating learning to meet a range of abilities and needs
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
  • Maintaining positive behaviour and classroom routines
  • Working effectively with teaching assistants and support staff
  • Building strong relationships with pupils and families
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school
  • Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

  • QTS and relevant primary teaching experience
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A creative and engaging approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
  • A positive and professional attitude

Teaching Personnel will provide ongoing support throughout the placement, including access to professional development, CPD opportunities and a dedicated consultant.
