We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Maths and English Tutor for our residential Move On homes in Didcot and Witney. This unique role offers the chance to become a friendly face within our residential communities while providing essential tutoring support to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a friendly and supportive rapport with young people residing in our Move On homes in Didcot and Witney.
  • Conduct regular visits to the residential homes to meet with residents, offer support, and build relationships.
  • Identify and assess the tutoring needs of residents in Maths and English.
  • Develop personalized tutoring plans tailored to individual learning styles and academic goals.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions that enhance understanding and confidence in Maths and English.
  • Monitor and track the progress of residents, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with residential staff to ensure a holistic approach to residents' educational and personal development needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or related field preferred.
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience, particularly with young people.
  • Strong proficiency in Maths and English, with the ability to teach up to secondary level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people.
  • Empathetic and patient demeanor, with a genuine interest in supporting the educational development and well-being of young people.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate visits to residential homes and tutoring sessions.

Location:

This role involves regular visits to our residential Move On homes in Didcot and Witney, Oxfordshire.

Salary:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £20-£25 per hour, providing a rewarding opportunity for the right candidate interested in this kind of role.
