Role Overview: As a Physical Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students. You will cover a range of areas within physical education, including team sports, individual fitness, and recreational activities, providing students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in both competitive and non-competitive environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote physical literacy, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.
  • Cover a variety of areas within Physical Education, including but not limited to, team sports such as football, basketball, and rugby, individual activities like gymnastics and athletics, and recreational pursuits such as dance and outdoor adventure.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate the different learning styles and abilities of both boys and girls in mixed-gender classes.
  • Organise and oversee extracurricular sports clubs, inter-school competitions, and sports events to encourage participation and foster a sense of belonging within the school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular links and integrate physical activity into other areas of the curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Secondary Physical Education Teacher status (QTS or equivalent), with a strong background in sports coaching and education.
  • Expertise in teaching a variety of sports and activities across different age groups and skill levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their personal best.
  • Commitment to promoting physical health, well-being, and sportsmanship among students.
  • Willingness to undergo vetting procedures conducted by Teaching Personnel, our school's recruitment partner.
