We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Phonics Teaching Assistant to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children in developing their early reading skills and ensuring every child has the foundations they need to become confident, successful learners.
As a Phonics Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality phonics support, helping pupils make strong progress and develop a lifelong love of reading.
Location: Burnley
Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time 8.30am – 3.30pm
Start Date: 2nd November 2026 or ASAP
You will support the delivery of daily phonics sessions, provide targeted interventions, and work with individual pupils and small groups to develop their phonics knowledge, reading fluency, and confidence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
