About the Role
Are you a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated PE Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a committed PE Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inclusive physical education lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and challenging PE lessons that meet the needs and abilities of all students.
- Teach a range of physical activities and sports, developing students' knowledge, skills, fitness, and confidence.
- Differentiate lessons and activities to ensure all students can participate and make progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages students to participate in physical activity and develop a lifelong interest in sport.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Encourage students to develop teamwork, communication, leadership, resilience, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Organise and supervise practical activities, ensuring equipment and facilities are used safely and appropriately.
- Support students who may be less confident or require additional support to participate fully in PE activities.
- Contribute to extracurricular sporting activities, clubs, fixtures, competitions, and school events where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students' wider development, wellbeing, and progress.
- Promote healthy lifestyles, physical wellbeing, teamwork, and positive attitudes towards sport.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, child protection, behaviour, and health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for PE, sport, physical activity, and education.
- Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and a range of sporting activities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage practical lessons effectively.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion, participation, wellbeing, and positive sporting values.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
