As a KS2 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for a class and guide pupils through a stage where independence, structure, and confidence become critical. This is where habits are formed and expectations start to matter more.
You will deliver a broad curriculum while ensuring pupils are prepared for the next stage of their education.
Key responsibilities
You will teach the KS2 curriculum across core and foundation subjects
You will plan lessons that are clear, structured, and purposeful
You will differentiate learning to support all abilities
You will monitor progress and identify gaps in understanding
You will build independence and confidence in learners
You will establish strong classroom routines and expectations
You will communicate effectively with parents and carers
You will work collaboratively with teaching assistants and staff

Skills and experience
Experience teaching within KS2
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
Clear classroom management strategies
