Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, specialising in Physical Education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in PE curriculum and sports coaching.
  • Experience teaching PE at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and abilities in physical activity and sports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting the values and ethos of the school, including health and fitness.

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • They will utilise effective coaching techniques to develop students' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in PE, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment conducive to physical activity and healthy living.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organise and participate in school sports events and extracurricular activities.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities as required.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and behaviour management.
