P.E. Teacher needed to cover roles throughout South Manchester Secondary schools

Teaching Personnel require a P.E. teacher who is able to work at schools around South Manchester including Trafford and Stockport. We ideally require a candidate with QTS who can help in schools with both the practical and theory side of the subject whenever called upon, however a teacher with QTS in a different subject who would be willing to help out on the practical side would also be beneficial. Should you not have QTS but do have experience of working within a similar role, such as coaching youth teams in any sport, then we could find you work as a Cover Supervisor (this would be on a lesser rate of pay than someone with QTS- details below).

Teaching Personnel deal with both short-term day to day supply roles and longer-term placements (such as maternity leaves), of which we are regularly asked for P.E. teachers or people willing to cover the subject. Should you be willing to teach this subject or happy to help out within this area as well as general school supply then please attach a CV as a file below in order to be contacted.

  • Pay with QTS: £153 - £238 per depending on experience and subject specialism
  • Secondary Schools throughout South Manchester including Stockport and Trafford
  • Range of Outstanding and Good Ofsted rated schools
  • Easy to reach via public transport (anyone with access to a vehicle though would be ideal)

Should you live within the South Manchester area and can commute to schools within the regions of south Manchester, Stockport and Trafford and can happily cover the practical and/or theory side of P.E. then please do not hesitate to get in touch. Roles available immediately for varying lengths of time (sort-term and long-term temporary – sometimes permanent roles).

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
